Why is getting a warranty to cover my phone a good idea?

If a protected item is damaged and we determine it can be repaired, we cover 100% of the cost of parts and labor. Coverage lasts for the term of your plan or until the coverage amount of your plan (generally equal to item purchase price) is used up.

Why doesn’t Blue Magic offer Loss & Theft coverage?

Because we don’t believe you should pay for something you don’t need. Research shows that you are 10 times more likely to break your phone before losing it. Adding loss or theft coverage would add additional cost that does not make sense for most consumers. Most carriers offer kill switches to permanently disable services for that device as well as location tracking services.

Once your claim has been approved you will have the option to get your phone repaired at Apple Genius Bar, at a local Service shop or Send it in for repairs.

How fast Can I get my phone repaired

In most cases your phone can repaired in minutes after filing a claim. There are some extreme circumstances where it will take 24 hours to repair.

How fast and where can I get a replacement device?

In most cases your phone can be replaced the same day at a local phone retailer. Replacement devices can be new, Refurbished, or used.

What if I get a new phone, Do I need to register my new phone with the plan?


No, not until you file a claim. Your plan is automatically active (and your item is covered) from the moment you purchased it. If you file a claim within in the first 30 days of adding a new phone you will be required to show proof of purchase in order for your claimed to be honored.

 

How does my Blue Magic plan work with the manufacturer’s warranty?

Blue Magic protects new items from the day they’re purchased. However, most new items also come with a manufacturer’s warranty that covers the first year of ownership. If there’s an issue with your item that is normally covered by the manufacturer’s warranty during that time, we’ll refer you to the manufacturer so they can resolve it. That way, you can save your Blue Magic plan for when you really need it – after the manufacturer’s warranty expires.

How do I transfer, view, or cancel my protection plan?

It’s easy. Just click My Plans at the top of our homepage. Log in, click on any active plan, and then use the links to transfer a plan, updated payment information, and more.

 

When can I purchase a Blue Magic Protection Plan?

You can buy any Blue Magic plan at anytime. Not just when you purchased a new device. Blue Magic plans are 100% risk-free. If you need to cancel your plan for any reason, you can do so in the first 30 days for a full refund. After that, you can cancel anytime and receive a pro-rated refund.

What is a Protection Plan?

 

A. Your phones, tablets, appliances and other electronics are often expensive investments, and can be costly and inconvenient to repair. Our extended warranty* Protection Plans are an affordable and easy way to protect them in case of accidental damage (like drops, spills and cracked screens) and mechanical breakdowns.

 

Aren’t my devices already covered under my manufacturer’s warranty?

 

  1. In most instances, your products are covered under your manufacturer’s original warranty for a period of 12 months. However, these warranties don’t cover accidental damage – like drops and spills – or provide other extras like power surge protection.

Doesn’t my homeowner’s or renter’s insurance already cover my devices ?

  1. A homeowner’s insurance policy would only cover losses due to fire, theft or wind damage. Drops, spills and other events likely wouldn’t be covered, and, in most cases, you may have to pay a deductible of $250 or more (depending on your policy).

And because we understand that your need for protection will change over time, we’ve made it super easy to add and remove devices from your Protection Plan, at no added cost – your homeowner’s insurance policy may not be as easy.

  1. We accept payments on a monthly basis. Payments may be made by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover) or debit card. After your first purchase, we’ll save your payment information for future devices you want to protect.
